About the Presentation
Understanding Souls’s Continuity and Karmic Imprints through Vedic Astrology
Vedic astrology offers profound insights into the continuity of the soul and the karmic imprints carried across lifetimes. This talk explores how past life sanskaras – deep-rooted impressions formed through previous experience – can be identified and interpreted through the Vedic astrological chart.
Special emphasis will be placed on key karmic indicators such as the 5th house, which reflects Purva Punya and stored merit, Ketu as the significator of past lives and Moksha, and the 8th house, which governs hidden karmas, transformations, and unresolved patterns. Additional planetary combinations and inter-house relationships that reveal inherited tendencies, talents, fears, and spiritual inclinations will also be discussed.
Through a blend of classical principles and practical application, this session will demonstrate how these factors manifest in real life. Selected case studies and horoscopes will be examined to illustrate how past life sanskaras surface as present-life behaviours, challenges, and strengths.
This talk aims to deepen the astrologer’s understanding of karmic continuity and provide practical tools to interpret past life influences with clarity, sensitivity, and ethical responsibility.

Akhilesh Mattoo is a Vedic Astrologer who has been deeply interested in astrology since the age of 15. He studied Vedic Astrology at Asheville Vedic Astrology under the guidance of Ryan Kurczak. Akhilesh’s primary focus lies in understanding how astrology truly works at a deeper level, especially how individuals can consciously alter their behaviour and karmic patterns to navigate the life periods they are experiencing. His approach emphasizes self-awareness, personal responsibility, and practical application of astrological wisdom for meaningful transformation. In his practice, he has studied over 250 charts from all walks of life. He primarily follows three major branches of Astrology which are the Parashari System, The Jaimini System and The Nadi System.
Akhilesh approaches astrology as a practical system for self-understanding and personal growth rather than mere prediction. By analyzing planetary influences, he helps individuals gain clarity about their challenges and strengths, with an emphasis on conscious choices and behavioural adjustments. His work focuses on how awareness and right action can ease karmic patterns and support balance during challenging phases of life.
