HISTORY

Previously known as the CAA [Cape Astrology Association], it was founded in 1989 by Rod Suskin, Petra du Preez and Maggie Mellor in Cape Town to further and promote Astrology in South Africa.  After Rod, Richard Fiddler enhanced the presence of the CAA by working with Ana Carrapichano to host “Astrology Restored: Bridging Epochs and Traditions”  conference held in Cape Town, South Africa, from 6th to 11th November 2015 at at  Shamballah Tea House & Holistic Centre.

Nancy Massing, previous CAA Chairperson, was instrumental in opening up the CAA once lockdown happened in 2020. By hosting Zoom presentations, Nancy allowed astrologers from across South Africa to join and both South African and international speakers gave excellent presentations. This was the first step in the CAA expanding beyond it’s Cape Town roots and becoming a fully South African organisation.
