During her first Saturn Return at around age 29, she decided to quench her curiosity and embarked on her very first astrology reading with an Astrologer. Not only was she fascinated by how accurately it described exactly who she was, but also a description of herself that she could totally resonate with. It also solved her dilemma around why those with the same sun signs are so different as the overall personality comprises of three components which are the Ascendant, Moon, and Sun.

Following her first Saturn Return, she plucked up the courage to pursue her interest in Astrology and enrolled for an Astrology Foundation Course with Dianne Garven. Her Astrology appetite grew and the next year, enrolled for a 3-year Diploma Course with Rod Suskin’s School of Astrology.

On completion of her first year in Rod’s course, she had to focus on her career in the corporate world and took a 5-year gap before continuing with her studies. She achieved a Scholarship from Rod Suskin for her final year, Medical Astrology, which was when the penny dropped, and she realised that her Astrological passion lies in that of the Soul; it’s journey and purpose in this lifetime. Thereafter, she subscribed to Bernadette Brady’s Predictive Astrology Course.

Janis strongly believes that the positions and movements of celestial bodies, such as planets, correspond to human affairs and our experiences on Earth. Hence, her slogan is “as above so below.” She is immensely excited to use her special intuitive gift through Astrology to help others understand their charts, patterns and bringing it to the conscious to heal and break the unconscious cycles.

In the words of Johannes Kepler, “The soul of the newly born baby is marked for life by the pattern of the stars at the moment it comes into the world, unconsciously remembers it, and remains sensitive to the return of configurations of a similar kind.”

When Janis is not analysing the sky, she is a lover of wine, all things metaphysical, travelling, spending time with family, meditating, trying out new restaurants, and enjoying the outdoors with plenty of sunshine.
