Electional Astrology
Many a question we get from our clients involves the ability to know what time or date would be the best for a particular event.
The word planet comes from the ancient Greek, planitis, which means “a mover or traveler”.
As Astrologers, a clear understanding of the planets movements, symbolic rulerships and dignities is an essential tool needed to elect the best date possible for the event desired.
The Florentine philosopher and astrologer, Marsilio Ficino explains how things in each of the Worlds are connected,
“If, therefore you combine at the right time all the Solar things through any level of that order, i.e., men of Solar nature or something belonging to such a man, likewise animals, plants, metals, gems and whatever pertains to these, you will drink in unconditionally the power of the Sun and to some extent the natural powers of the Solar daemons.”
In this masterclass Laurie will share the Art of electing the correct time for your client’s events.
About the Presenter
Laurie Naughtin – Sub-Lunar Traditional Astrologer
Laurie Naughtin started her studies with Anita Noyes-Smith in 1996, qualified in Medieval Astrology through Robert Zoller in 1997, qualified in advanced astrological studies including time rectification and relocation with Jeanette Martins and opened her internationally accredited Sublunar Academy of Astrology in 2002. She received her Diploma in Horary Astrology with Jacqueline Brook. Laurie wrote and submitted her Horary course for accreditation from John Frawley and the Traditional Association of Astrologers and completed her Consulting skills course with ISAR in 2012. In 2017 Laurie received The Renaissance Astrology Magic Diploma through Christopher Warnock and in 2019 received her Diploma in Election studies with Christopher Warnock.
Laurie has been a committee member of the Association Society of South African Astrology for 10 years, and elected Chairlady in 2016. In 2019 to end 2023 Laurie was President of Astrology South Africa.
